On The Move, Inc. started in Dearborn, Michigan, January 28, 1992. Its founder, Maury Westerdale, recognized the need for a commercial truck lease program for self-managed local rental trucks, allowing the owner/operator to set their own rates and advertise their company at the same time. The ingenuity of Maury evolved into a turnkey truck lease program that launched On The Move, Inc. into the fourth largest truck rental fleet in the United States.
On The Move Custom Food Trucks has been selling quality Food Trucks since 2012 to Universities, large restaurant groups, corporations and individual operators. Our innovative food truck design is unique and provides the operator the ability to serve upwards of 1,000 customers per day. On The Move’s patented, extended slide out allows eye-to-eye customer interaction and increased crew and equipment space. On The Move customizes the interior with the kitchen equipment and stainless package needed to prepare and serve your menu items. Our trucks also offer a 20 KW generator, 200 lb ASME propane system with safety shut off valve, the largest fresh and grey water tanks in the industry, upgraded commercial flooring with drain and much, much more. We also offer custom graphics to advertise your restaurant or university garnering 600 visual impressions per mile driven. Additional options include an oil extraction system, audio/visual packages and winterization. Our trucks are truly built from the ground up and engineered to be a Food Truck.

“Our El Charro Food Truck would not be the truck it is today without Detroit Custom Coach…literally. Not only did they turn our once empty truck into a beautiful commercial kitchen, but they did it in a timely and effective manner. Chris at DCC kept us informed and educated on the progress of our truck and adjusted the build out as needed to accommodate our design tweaks and planning errors. Jessica was a pleasure to work with and her knowledge of Health Department codes and standards is pretty remarkable. Getting a mobile kitchen on the road is a HUGE undertaking, to say the least. The crew at DCC helped handle a lot of the pressures involved and had a major role in helping us take our family owned restaurant to the streets of Metro Detroit.”

“Both of our Food Trucks cleared 600 portions in 3 ½ hours. Had the health department show up today and passed with no issues. The paper work showed up today thank you. Thank you for your exceptional service.”
